Mr. & Mrs. Young

This evening I had the pleasure of being the Day of Coordinator for Shawnie and James Young. Here are a few of my "unprofessional" pictures. Professional were taken by Heather Colburn.  Here is my recap:

As a planner I find it much more difficult to be a Day of Coordinator that a partial or full planner because you are not able to make the connections with the wedding couple's vendors prior to wedding day. You have to work with vendors you don't have a pre-existing relationship and as was the case today, everyone is not concerned with the same level of quality you hold yourself to. There were a few SNAFU which through off the schedule for the day, but I was able to work it out. Over everything else time management is the most vital aspect of being a planner; followed by multi-tasking.  Their reception venue Maggiano's of Chevy Chase had amazing Italian cuisine, so all was well.

Congratulations Shawnie & Jamie!! Have fun in Bahamas!

The bridal party lined up at the gazebo entrance as the happy couple exchanged their vows. The bride's Maggie Sottero gown was absolute amazing. Ceremony venue was the Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD.
